F.O.G. - it’s a lifestyle!
It has been widely disputed what F.O.G. stands for, but the most politically correct iteration is Fat Old Guys.
The FOG is Asheville’s Masters Club Team; the byproduct of many of the long-standing ALC members getting older and wanting to continue to play the game.
A “Master’s Team” consists of members who are 35+ years of age. Founded by Andrew Nagle and Jake Hoesli in 2015, the FOG is a highly competitive Masters team consisting mainly of former ALC members but has welcomed stragglers from our brother club teams in Greenville, Charleston and others.
Blue Ridge Classic
The Blue Ridge Classic has held a Masters Bracket since at least 2015, and the FOG has dominated that bracket for the last two years.
